Documented is excited to partner with New Immigrant Community Empowerment (NICE) for this year’s Education Resource Fair — a back-to-school community event that helps students and families prepare for the upcoming school year. 

The fair will take place on Friday, Aug. 22,  from 12 p.m to 4 p.m. at 82nd Street Academics, located at 81-10 35th Ave., in Jackson Heights, Queens.

Families can enjoy:

  • Free school supplies
  • Resources tables
  • Medical screenings
  • Support services

In addition to free school supplies, attendees will receive Documented materials created for the event with how-to guides about navigating the school system. These materials were developed based on feedback from readers of Documented’s Spanish-language newsletter, Documented Semanal.
