One-on-one chat with Documented’s reporters
Ever wondered where to find free food during the summer? Or how to join a parent-teacher association in your kid’s school? Semanal goes beyond just a newsletter. Members have access to our journalists who are available to answer questions that relate to public programs, policy developments, and information of community stakeholders — like contacts for the consulate and the closest organization serving your neighborhood.
You can send questions to our reporters and receive fact-checked answers within 24 hours. There is no cost to use our services; your information is always private and confidential. You can unsubscribe at any time.

Participate in surveys
Community engagement is at the heart of Semanal. We believe the voices of our audience should guide the content we create. At times, we invite members to take part in surveys. Past surveys have asked questions such as what issues matter most to you in upcoming elections and what kind of news you’d like to receive. These surveys are anonymous and confidential.
The questions you send and the answers we receive help us develop new articles and guides that connect immigrants with important resources, while also fueling investigations that hold agencies accountable.
Exclusive in-person events, and webinars
Throughout the year Documented partners with local organizations to host free in-person events, webinars and giveaways. It is an opportunity to network with new organizations, meet our reporters in person and access exclusive resources.
